Choosing the right glove

When selecting the right hand protection for your application, it is important to consider what your tasks involve and the type, duration and frequency of contact with substances such as grease or water. Different coatings provide different benefits according to the task and circumstances, such as foam coatings for oil grip, and repellent ones for wet environments. Remember to also consider the required dexterity, comfort and flexibility of the glove. Performance, as well as protection, is essential.

Working together with HexArmor

uvex and HexArmor® stand for trust, safety and protecting people

HexArmor® has been a glove safety leader in North America for over 15 years, redefining the hand safety market. Their range of high-performance products has helped to eliminate millions of hand injuries worldwide. Pushing the boundaries of cut, puncture, needlestick and impact protection with the use of »SuperFabric® brand materials inside a broad range of HexArmor® products.

What is SuperFabric®?

SuperFabric® brand material is a HexArmor® exclusively licensed solution for the Industrial PPE Market that configures tiny guard plates onto performance fabrics which delivers revolutionary industrial puncture & cut protection that exceeds Level F in the new EN 388:2016 / ISO 13997 cut standard. SuperFabric® also provides the highest and unmatched levels of Hypodermic Needle puncture protection and is a clear leader of safety in this critical risk field.

HexArmor® utilises variations of SuperFabric® that are directly integrated into their highest-performing products through different patterns of cut/sewn and direct print technologies.

These protective fabrics are engineered for optimum resistance to abrasions, lacerations, punctures and more - without sacrificing dexterity. SuperFabric® brand material simultaneously incorporates a variety of protective fabric functions that no other known fabric can simulate.

Ultra cut and puncture resistance

5 times more cut resistant than traditional HPPE glass fibre and other knitted technologies.

SuperFabric® guard plates act as a shield from sharp and pointed hazards such as blades, razors, glass and wood. The plates are engineered to deflect and block hazards by limiting the space between them which in turn prevents cut and puncture hazards from reaching the skin. SuperFabric® delivers cut protection above level F in the new European ISO 13997 cut test method.

Industry leading needle resistance

SuperFabric® with needlestick resistance provides PPE with layered guard plates that arrest, trap and block needles and other hazards.

The SuperFabric® guard plates block and deflect needle hazards or trap and arrest them in the small gaps found between guard plates. Multiple layers of SuperFabric® brand material delivers needlestick resistance level 4 and 5 (level 5 being the highest) according to the ASTM F2878 hypodermic needle puncture test.
